Development. Camden Student Housing LLC, Camden County Improvement Authority and Joseph Jingoli and Son will break ground in April on the 350-bed, 12-story Rutgers-Camden graduate apartment building at Cooper and North Fourth streets in Camden. The $60 million project is slated for completion by summer 2012. Gateway Village, a 30-unit, four-building housing project in Cooper Town Center, Somerdale, is slated for completion this summer. The team on the $7 million project includes Camden County Improvement Authority, Camden County Housing Association and Conifer Realty.
Expansions. Supply chain solutions company NFI, based in Cherry Hill, has acquired World Warehouse and Distribution, a logistics and warehousing company with headquarters in Champlain, N.Y. Cherry Hill’s World Wide Web Communications (3wC) has launched a dedicated software development team, to manage clients’ IT teams or work as an outsourced IT department. SFB Market Systems, Inc., which provides securities data services, has opened a 5,600-square-foot corporate headquarters and data center in Cherry Hill, the base for plans to expand their services into custom financial data solutions. ImpactRx of Mount Laurel, which tracks physicians’ prescription trends, is adding pulmonology to the list of specialties it tracks via its panels of iPhone-equipped doctors.
Comings and Goings. Sandra E. Bell, chief financial officer of PHH Corporation, has left the Mount Laurel company. David Coles of professional services company Alvarez & Marsal will be Bell’s interim replacement, until a permanent successor can be found. Rachelle Damminger has been named manager of corporate communications at Subaru of America, Cherry Hill. New Jersey American Water’s vice president of operations Steve Tambini has been appointed to the board of trustees of American Water Works Association New Jersey. Hutchinson, the Cherry Hill-based commercial and residential plumbing, heating, cooling and energy services company, has named Fred Mathewson chief financial officer. Mathewson was previously regional controller at KinderMorgan. David Foster remains president and chief executive of the Greater Camden Partnership, which recently announced its merger with the Cooper’s Ferry Development Association. As well, Symphony in C has added Foster—along with Tara E. Stewart- Becker, a manager, financial services, with Prudential Financial in Marlton—to its board of directors. Archer & Greiner in Haddonfield has hired Richard Mroz, who joins the firm as Of Counsel.
Duly noted. Theodore R. Massaro, a Marlton-based independent financial adviser at M Financial Planning Services, was recognized by LPL Financial as a top adviser and named to the organization’s elite Chairman’s Club. Haddon Heights-based Jan-Pro Cleaning Systems of South Jersey and Delaware received the International Franchise Association’s Franny award for excellence. Pennsauken’s J & J Snack Foods Corp. has lost a key client for its funnel cake fries that had brought in $12.7 million in the fiscal year ending Sept. 25, 2010. Central Eastern European Distribution Corp. of Mount Laurel saw fourth-quarter losses of $103.2 million, which it attributed to the expense of launching its Zubrowka Biala vodka in Poland. New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in order to restructure its debt. The racecourse and auto club will continue to operate.
Retail & Dining The U.K.-based LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics has opened its first South Jersey store at the Cherry Hill Mall. The Pitman News Agency shut its doors after 84 years in business. The Moorestown Mall has added three new eateries: Sakura House, Bubby’s Brisket and Elevation Burger. Also in Moorestown, Megu Sushi’s second location is now open. In Marlton, Panchero’s Mexican Grill has opened on Greentree Road.
