The following 13 health care professionals demonstrate a diligent commitment to the community’s well-being, and go above and beyond to serve the South Jersey community.
Michael W. Capriotti, MBA,
Senior VP & President, Advanced Care Operations and Logistics, Virtua Health
Capriotti provides strategic oversight for several of Virtua’s care transformation initiatives, including projects and programs aimed at improving patient access, affordability and experience. Capriotti’s purview includes Virtua’s Access Center and innovative Enterprise Care Logistics Center: Located in Pennsauken, this centralized hub uses the latest technology to enhance system capacity and improve patient outcomes by monitoring real-time data, creating system-wide transparency and optimizing resources. The center includes Virtua’s Hospital at Home program, one of the most comprehensive in the country, and Virtua’s Care After Discharge program—two services that empower people to receive advanced care from the comfort of home. Capriotti also oversees Virtua’s EMS and patient logistics division, and played an integral role in both designing and implementing the integration of business operations during Virtua Health’s acquisition of Lourdes Health System. He was also instrumental in developing Virtua’s Access Center. Capriotti began his career at Virtua as the director of marketing communications, and received several national awards for his marketing plans and creative concepts.
Linda Y. Flake, MBA,
President & CEO, Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers
Flake has worked as a health care executive serving minority and disadvantaged communities for over 40 years. The health center has experienced extraordinary growth since she took the helm in 1992, from serving approximately 5,000 patients annually to over 52,000 in 2023. Under her leadership, the agency expanded its facilities to eight sites and its clinical services to include behavioral health, dentistry and podiatry; it has also implemented innovative programs including Mobile Medic, telemedicine and the Hypertensive Remote Monitoring Program. Flake has served on the National Association of Community Health Centers board, as an officer for the association for 20 years and is a past board president of the New Jersey Primary Care Association. She is passionate about her work and continues to advocate for the improvement of access to quality health care for all. Flake is an alumna member of the Atlantic City (NJ) Chapter of The Links, Inc. A graduate of Hampton University, she received her MBA from Temple University.
Aaron Chang, FACHE,
President, Jefferson Health, East Region
Chang leads a team of over 5,000 employees across Jefferson Health’s three New Jersey acute care hospitals in Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township. A purpose-driven leader, Chang is deeply committed to improving the lives of area residents: His passion for helping others is reflected in 280 annual outreach events, where Jefferson care teams provide health education and screenings to those in need. Chang’s philosophy on partnerships and collaboration has translated into strengthening impactful community initiatives, like the Cherry Hill Mayor’s Wellness Campaign. A member of the New Jersey Hospital Association board of trustees, Chang has played a pivotal role in enhancing access to care through the development and expansion of facilities, programs and services. He has also prioritized workforce engagement, building an Employee Advisory Group that provides a voice to staff while enhancing a culture of excellence. Notable initiatives include growth of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center in New Jersey, and expansion of cardiac, primary care and surgical services.
Donna B. Raziano, MD, MBA, FACP, AGSF,
Network Medical Director, AmeriHealth
Dr. Raziano is a clinical care transformation physician responsible for collaborating with primary care providers, ACOs and health systems to drive improved performance in support of the Quintuple Aim: cost efficiency, quality of care, improved member and provider experience, and health equity. Board-certified in internal medicine, geriatric medicine, and hospice and palliative care, Dr. Raziano has been in population health medical leadership roles since 2005, with a specialty in the LIFE/PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) programs and home health. She is active with the American Geriatrics Society, American College of Physicians and the National PACE Association, and has received recognition for delivering patient-centered, compassionate and high-quality care that extends respect, understanding and undivided attention to every patient. Dr. Raziano earned degrees from La Salle University and Creighton University School of Medicine, completed an internship at Jefferson University and a fellowship at The University of Pennsylvania Health System, and earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Brian Adams,
President & CEO, AnewHealth
Adams provides executive leadership and oversight for all aspects of the organization, with a strategic focus on growth, corporate finance, health care and technological innovation, company culture, and patient and client experience. He also serves on AnewHealth’s board of directors, and is a growth-oriented leader who has spent most of his career with organizations serving vulnerable patients, beginning in the hospice space in 2004. In 2025, Adams was appointed CEO of AnewHealth while continuing his role as president, which he was named upon AnewHealth’s establishment in 2023 with the ExactCare and Tabula Rasa HealthCare (TRHC) merger; he served as president and CEO of TRHC in 2022, and as co-president and CFO in 2021.
Jim Andrews,
President & CEO, Deborah Heart and Lung Center
Andrews is an accomplished health care executive with over two decades of experience in leading strategic initiatives and heart and vascular service line success. Currently, he is serving in a dual role as the president and CEO of Deborah Heart and Lung Center and Deborah Hospital Foundation. Having joined Deborah in the fall of 2024, Andrews has been most impressed with the organization’s altruistic mission, people-centric culture and superb quality outcomes. With a platform based on these three pillars, he will advance the institution’s reputation as a leader in cardiovascular and pulmonary care while maintaining the 102-year-old mission of financially supporting the care of every Deborah patient.
Michael J. Charlton,
President & CEO, AtlantiCare
Charlton’s philosophy is that housing, food access, mental health and economic opportunity all impact long-term health. After his 2023 appointment as CEO, AtlantiCare launched Vision 2030, and Charlton made it an immediate priority to reduce providers’ and frontline team members’ administrative burdens: The implementation of Oracle AI-powered systems helped reduce outpatient documentation time by 41%, giving providers more time with patients. Guided by Charlton’s strategic direction and leadership, AtlantiCare completed an expansion at its Mainland Campus and significantly expanded both access to advanced care and investment in the future workforce. Charlton leads with presence, urgency and accountability, setting a new standard for regional health care built to last—and have a lasting impact.
Eric Eberman,
Executive Director, Devereux New Jersey
Eberman is an experienced leader in New Jersey’s behavioral health and disability services sector. He oversees programs supporting nearly 500 adolescents and adults with behavioral, emotional and cognitive disabilities. Eberman has focused on developing a high-performing leadership team at Devereux and finding sustainable growth opportunities for the future of the organization. Previously, Eberman was the director of public policy at Autism New Jersey, where he championed legislative initiatives and systemic reforms to enhance services for individuals with autism and their families. During his 28 years in the field, Eberman has served on a number of boards and has received honors for his work, including the Philadelphia 76ers’ Heroes Among Us award.
Julie H. Ellis, MBA, SHRM-SCP,
Senior Vice President Chief Human Resource Officer, Inspira Health
Ellis brings over 20 years’ experience in health care human resources, guiding Inspira’s HR strategy with a concentration on employee engagement, labor relations and total rewards. She has built a reputation for driving strategic transformation, implementing best-in-workplace initiatives and fostering high-performing cultures. Since 2021, Ellis has enhanced the organization by focusing on employee recruitment and retention and forging significant partnerships with the business community. Her leadership has consistently earned Inspira designations as a top place to work in the region. Ellis also champions continuing education and career advancement, such as the Pathway to Nursing Program, in collaboration with local colleges and universities.
Theresa Goldfine, RN, BS,
Vice President of Practice Management, Samaritan
During her 25-year tenure at Samaritan, Goldfine has been a hospice case manager, inpatient unit manager, and director and project manager for South Jersey’s first free-standing hospice inpatient center, The Samaritan Center at Voorhees. She facilitated the implementation of Samaritan’s first electronic medical record and its most recent EMR system as the clinical applications manager.?In 2023, Goldfine was promoted to her current role, overseeing the Primary Care at Home Physician group, Palliative Medicine Expansion program and Social Connections, Samaritan’s newest service.?Her latest promotion will continue to ensure that Samaritan patients receive a continuity of care through its programs, with expansion into underserved communities and socially isolated populations.
Lisa Mills, MS,
Associate Executive Director, Penn Medicine Cherry Hill
With over 30 years of experience, Mills is responsible for operations, finances, strategic initiatives, organizational culture and community engagement, overseeing improved access, service expansion, and both patients’ and providers’ increased satisfaction. She has led initiatives focused on risk reduction, innovation, access to care, quality and operational improvement. As administrative lead for the Women’s Center for Clinical Innovation at Penn Medicine, Mills led efforts to create a care delivery model that introduced a digital front door to improve access to fertility care, and collaborated to create Together Care, a personalized pathway integrating digital support and home care services that improves surgical gynecologic oncology patients’ experience and recovery.
Michael Sabia, MD,
Director of Pain Management, Cooper University Medical Center
Dr. Sabia is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist, as well as a Cooper Medical School of Rowan University faculty member. A recognized leader with more than two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Sabia specializes in treating chronic pain using advanced techniques and a patient-centered approach. He believes true wellness integrates physical, emotional and psychological health, and is known for compassionate care and deep commitment to patients’ improved quality of life. Dr. Sabia is also an active medical researcher and educator, having authored numerous scientific papers and two foundational textbooks on pain management, and founded a fellowship program to train the next generation of specialists.
Catherine A. Stubin PhD, RN, CNE, CCRN,
Assistant Professor, Rutgers University School of Nursing–Camden
Dr. Stubin has been a nurse educator for over 25 years, and her career as a registered nurse spans more than four decades in various areas of nursing practice and education. As a PhD-prepared scholar and researcher, she has designed and conducted research on emotional strain, mental health, wellness, resilience, and self-care in nurses and nursing students. She has published her findings and presented at national and international peer-reviewed professional nursing conferences. Dr. Stubin has received several grants focusing on nursing mental health, including awards from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the National League for Nursing.
