How the engineering industry has evolved…
When I began my career, processes were still manual, and documenting existing buildings often required hours of field measurements and drafting. Today, technologies like 3D laser scanning, building information modeling, digital collaboration platforms and AI allow us to gather data more accurately, improve coordination and make better decisions faster.
Process of projects and their impact…
Most projects begin with helping owners identify their needs, define project goals and establish realistic budgets. From there, we guide them through planning and design, ensuring that projects remain aligned with their objectives, schedules and financial constraints. Once construction begins, our role expands to include construction administration and owner’s representation services, helping manage quality, cost and schedule while protecting the owner’s interests.
A significant portion of our work involves public facilities and infrastructure throughout New Jersey. Whether we’re modernizing public buildings, improving transportation facilities or supporting educational institutions, our work ultimately helps strengthen communities across New Jersey—the most rewarding aspect of being an engineer and a leader in this profession.
