South Jersey Gas, a subsidiary of SJI, announced the kick-off of its annual First Responders Grant Program. The First Responders Grant Program supports the critical safety training and lifesaving efforts conducted by local fire, police and EMS first responders. These grants are used by first responders to support necessary purchases including combustible gas detectors, turn out gear, fire hoses, medical supplies and other equipment.
 
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Capehart Scatchard partnered with the Food Bank of South Jersey (FBSJ) to support its mission to combat hunger in the region. Attorneys and staff volunteered at FBSJ’s headquarters in Pennsauken, assisting with the collection, inspection, sorting and packaging of food for distribution to individuals and families in need.
 
Cooper Levenson has been selected to serve as legal counsel for the redevelopment of Bader Field, supporting DEEM Enterprises as it advances a long-term, comprehensive, collaborative redevelopment effort in Atlantic City.
 
Stockton University in partnership with the Levine and Gormley Family Foundations have launched a $2 million initiative to expand access to STEM education for Atlantic County students. The Levine-Gormley STEM Scholar Pathway Program will provide scholarships and other support, with eligible students potentially receiving up to $10,000 per year in scholarships.
 
Vantage Commercial has completed two new retail leases at Plaza 73, including the addition of a nail salon, and a kitchen and flooring company. These moves helped the center reach 100% occupancy.
