Plus, they offer a variety of programs with financial incentives designed to make energy-saving upgrades more affordable.
South Jersey Gas understands - owning and running a business can be tough. However, saving energy and money doesn’t have to be. South Jersey Gas Energy Efficiency Manager, Frank Vetri, explains how SJG’s portfolio of energy efficiency programs provide financial incentives for commercial, industrial and multifamily customers to purchase and install high-efficiency natural gas equipment. By using less energy, high-efficiency equipment can help lower operating costs.
“We designed a portfolio of energy efficiency programs that meet individual customer needs and are applicable to businesses of all sizes,” Vetri says. “Our programs help make the financial decision for the customer easier by reducing upfront costs through rebates and allowing customers to pay back the remaining project costs over time at 0% interest. For convenience, payments are included right on their South Jersey Gas bill through the SJG On-Bill Repayment Program.”
Programs include:
- The Direct Install Program—designed for small-to medium-sized businesses including municipal and nonprofit organizations—to help lower operating expenses through energy-efficient equipment solutions. The program includes a no-cost, on-site energy assessment and report, rebates and 0% APR financing with the On-Bill Repayment Program. Plus, the Program may cover up to 80% of the total project costs, including labor.
- The Prescriptive and Custom Program is also designed for businesses of all sizes to help reduce operating costs. This Program features financial incentives on HVAC, water heating, insulation, commercial kitchen equipment and more.
- The Energy Management Program helps existing commercial and industrial facilities apply a holistic approach to improving building energy performance through maintenance, tune-up, and retro-commissioning services.
- The Engineered Solutions Program is designed for large commercial or industrial customers and includes comprehensive energy efficiency solutions. Customers receive customized project services tailored to their individual needs.
- The Multi-Family Program is designed for properties with three or more units—from small residential buildings to large apartment complexes and high-rise towers. Benefits include increased resident comfort while saving energy and money. The program includes a review of the property to identify energy-saving opportunities and a project plan recommendation with financial incentives, including 0% APR financing for up to five years with the convenience of payments included right on the SJG bill.
“Our goal is to help customers realize the benefits of energy efficiency through a consultative approach and the added benefit of financial incentives,” says Vetri.
