
Last month, Rowan University announced the launch of a three-year initiative pairing prospective students with one-on-one success coaching for a fast-growing online student population, offered in partnership with student-success nonprofit InsideTrack. The personalized program aims to break down enrollment barriers for virtual learners and adult students by addressing the personal, professional and financial obstacles often preventing them from both enrolling in and completing higher education.
Bill A1895 cleared the assembly committee last month, coming one step closer in offering tuition-free county college education to more students statewide. The bill, sponsored by Assemblyman Herb Conaway and Assemblywoman Linda Carter, would broaden eligibility requirements for the New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship (NJ STARS) Program, creating a pathway for additional high school graduates to achieve their educational aspirations.
