  Late last month, Camden’s LEAP Academy University Charter School held its annual scholarship induction ceremony, ensuring that more than 850 K-12 students can benefit from full scholarships to Rutgers University. The program intends to increase the number of Camden’s youth who are able to receive a college education. 

The inaugural group of students enrolled in Thomas Edison State University’s Accelerated BSN BAYADA Scholars Track at Cooper University Health Care have begun their education in the newly introduced, 15-month program, which was announced in May. The initiative aims to proactively resolve the state’s nursing shortage. 

On Oct. 14, Stockton University announced that it will offer two new degrees in its business school starting with the spring 2-25 semester: a bachelor of science in entrepreneurship and a master of science in accounting. The new programs reflect the school’s recognition of emerging industries and are designed to prepare students for future career opportunities in an evolving world. 

Chancellor Antonio D. Tillis of Rutgers University–Camden and Magda Moncrief, vice president of human resources for the Philadelphia 76ers, met Oct. 7 to sign a memorandum of understanding to create internship opportunities for three Rutgers–Camden students in a unique collaboration providing new experiential learning opportunities
