 South Jersey Gas, a South Jersey Industries SJI subsidiary, recently announced that it’s received approval from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities for its largest-ever energy efficiency program. That significant expansion—poised to provide residential, commercial and industrial customers with cost-saving opportunities—includes $167 million of direct investment, $125 million in financing options and $15 million in operation and maintenance expenses. The new program cycle begins Jan.1, 2025, and runs through June 30, 2027.
Additionally, SJI announced last month that it received the 2024 Energy Vision Leadership Award, which recognizes those trailblazers spearheading an expanding industry’s advancement. 

On Nov. 13, Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey celebrated the completion of construction and subsequent sale of its most recent affordable home with a dedication ceremony at the Camden site. 

On Nov. 18, The New Jersey Bankers Association, Northfield Bank and the New Jersey Veterans of Foreign Wars hosted a financial literacy class for unhoused veterans, drawing about 50 participants. The class was part of a series of educational opportunities designed for different statewide veterans’ groups.

Lieutenant Gov. and Secretary of State Tahesha Way is leading the inaugural New Jersey-India Commission trip to India from Dec. 8-16, with a focus on strengthening economic ties with one of the state’s largest trade and investment partners.
