 The Non-Profit Development Center of Southern New Jersey’s Sept. 24 award ceremony recognized the Cherry Hill-based Tri-State Canine Response Team and Pennsauken-based GateKeepers Ministry as its NPOs of the Year, while the Volunteer Center of South Jersey was among its Chairman’s Award recipients. 

In tandem with its recent 40th anniversary, the Alice Paul Institute debuted a new name indicating its commitment to the broader mission of supporting and advancing intersectionality: The Alice Paul Center for Gender Justice

South Jersey Industries (SJI) reaffirmed its commitment to cultural awareness with the second annual DEI+B Summit on Oct. 1, a full-day event offering SJI employees actionable tips and insights for supporting the company’s mission of fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment that prioritizes employees’ sense of belonging and comfort. 

The Southern New Jersey Development Council’s 64th annual award luncheon, held Oct. 18, honored a number of local organizations: AtlantiCare received the Healthcare Award; Battleship New Jersey received the Tourism Award; Caldwell Marine International was given the Economic Development Award; the Family-Owned Business Award went to Giordano’s Waste & Recycle Management; and Hopeworks was the recipient of the Workforce Development Award. 

The Oct. 12 ribbon-cutting ceremony for The City of Vineland’s combined fire department headquarters and Station 6 showcased the brand-new 38,000-square foot facility, a project in which NEW ROAD Construction Management oversaw work for the city. 

Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey (Habitat SCNJ) has announced its first holiday donation collection—Santa’s Toy-Letry Drive—which is running through Dec. 15th. Habitat SCNJ’s ReStore locations are collection and public drop-off points for the personal-care essentials that its donation partner, the Hispanic Family Center, will distribute to local families in need. 

Wolf Commercial Real Estate (WCRE)’s 11th annual Thanksgiving food drive is accepting nonperishable donations through Nov. 21, which can be delivered to its location at One Holtec Dr., Suite G100, Marlton. The commercial real estate agency is requesting only kosher food items, as its drive will benefit local Jewish organizations.
