Plans to convert the former Marlton Diner on Route 73 to a recreational cannabis dispensary are moving forward after Enlighten Health & Wellness LLC received its retailer license from New Jersey’s Cannabis Regulatory Commission.

Members of Capehart Scatchard’s workers’ compensation department attended the Ninth Annual Fundraising Gala and Auction for Kids’ Chance of New Jersey (KCNJ). Each year, KCNJ presents $10,000 scholarships to students whose parents suffered fatal or physically catastrophic injuries while working. Capehart Scatchard was a co-sponsor of the scholarship given to Benjamin Moskovitz, an incoming first-year student at the University of Delaware.
 
Rutgers University Center for Government Services along with the New Jersey Association of Counties will host a two-day online program in late October focused on county administration. Focused on the administration of county government, the sessions on Oct. 20 and 27 will center around issues such as public procurement, management challenges, county fiscal affairs and ethics. 

On Aug. 31, the Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity broke ground on a Glassboro property as part of its Affordable Homeownership Program. This program, funded through individual donations, volunteers, corporate partnerships and ReStore sales, seeks to address the lack of available affordable housing opportunities in New Jersey. This is the 54th house the nonprofit has built in the county. 

Indoor Environmental Concepts, LLC, an industrial hygiene consulting company specializing in environmental inspections of schools, commercial, residential and public properties has received the Lead Evaluation Contractor certification required to perform lead hazard evaluation or abatement in New Jersey. The accreditation provided by the N.J. Department of Community Affairs enables IEC to perform lead inspections and risk assessments for commercial, residential and public buildings.

NJ Transit was named the 2023 winner of the Outstanding Transportation System award, considered to be the American Public Transportation Association’s highest honor. 

CLM Advisors has once again announced its sponsorship of Bike MS: City to Shore. The annual fundraising event hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will take place on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 and the two-day event will begin at the Woodcrest PATCO station in Cherry Hill and end at Ocean City Civic Center.
