Virtua Voorhees Hospital celebrated its 10th anniversary in late May with a 10-hour celebration that featured various speakers and activities throughout the day.
The multidisciplinary team of cardiac experts from Cooper University Health Care’s Structural Heart Disease Program recently performed its 1,000th TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement) procedure. The minimally invasive procedure that allows an interventional cardiologist to replace a diseased aortic valve due to aortic stenosis with a new valve without open heart surgery was successfully performed on a 71-year-old South Jersey man.
Inspira Health recently donated $50,000 to help fund the Cumberland County Housing First Collaborative efforts to end chronic homelessness. It marks the fourth donation from Inspira, which has given more than $200,000 to the cause.
