How aligned is your organization, both externally and internally, during this pandemic?

Gov. Phil Murphy and his administration have signed off on a debt sale that will bring in $4 billion to help sustain the state budget during the coronavirus pandemic. State Treasurer Elizabeth Maher Muoio says they believe investors have faith in the fiscal outlook of the state, due to significant oversubscription and a favorable interest rate. The total interest cost of the tax-exempt issue is expected to be just under 2%.
Three current and former New Jersey officials will work with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as volunteer members for their presidential transition agency review teams. Dr. Shereef Elnahal, the former commissioner of the Department of Health, will be a part of the Department of Veteran Affairs team; Vinn White, a senior transportation advisor to the Murphy administration, will be a part of the Department of Transportation team and Anna Martinez, director of the Division on Women in the Department of Children and Families, will be a part of the Department of Health and Human Services.
An additional $60 million in CARES Act money will go towards grants for Phase 3 of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program. Phase 3 now has a total of $130 million to be distributed and will be enough to grant every eligible company that applied. So far, more than 22,000 small businesses in the state have been approved for grants totaling nearly $65 million through Phase 1 and 2.
