Inspira Medical Center Vineland’s Emergency Department
has received the Emergency Nurses Association’s 2019 Lantern Award for demonstrating exceptional and innovative performance in leadership, practice, education, advocacy and research.
 
Deborah Heart and Lung Center is among the top percentile in the nation for heart and valve surgeries, as rated by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS). Deborah received three-star ratings from the STS for its patient care and outcomes in isolated coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and isolated aortic valve replacement (AVR) surgeries.
 
According to the latest job report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the nation’s health care industry added 24,000 jobs in August—9,000 of those jobs accounting for hospitals.
 
Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, a nonprofit provider of home-based health services, is joining Bayada Home Health Care. The agreement is expected to be finalized in November.

Care Plus NJ Inc., an organization that provides recovery-focused integrated primary and mental health care for individuals, has been awarded $4 million over the next five years in grant funding to expand its supported employment services by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
 
HealthShare Exchange (HSX), a nonprofit health information exchange for the Greater Philadelphia area, is expanding its data services to more health care provider organizations in New Jersey. Jefferson Health Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township were added last year, and HSX is now exchanging patient health information with Penn Medicine’s Princeton Health and VirtuaPhysicianPartners soon after—a network of practices associated with Virtua Health System.
