Inspira Medical Center
Elmer earned a 2019 Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award— one of two in New Jersey to win this national award. To qualify, Inspira Elmer had to score in the top 15 percent of more than 3,400 hospitals across the nation.
 
Virtua affiliate Vantage Surgery Center is welcoming patients to its new location in Moorestown and now offers same-day total joint replacement surgery, spinal fusions and disc replacements.
 
Deborah Heart and Lung Center has received designation as a certified Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) facility, and is able to perform surgery for mechanical support for heart failure patients. The certification includes both “bridge-to-transplant” and “destination therapy” VAD implants.
 
Jefferson Health’s New Jersey-based sleep centers in Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township have each received program accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). To receive accreditation for a five-year period, a sleep center must meet or exceed all standards for professional health care as designated by the AASM.
 
Virtua is the first New Jersey health system to receive an esteemed award for safety and security. The International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) recently presented its Program of Distinction award to the 150-plus members of the Virtua Security Department.
 
The honor requires more than 70 percent of an organization’s security officers to earn certification in health care security and safety.
 
For the second consecutive year, Inspira Health was named to Becker’s Healthcare 150 Best Places to Work list. Inspira was one of just seven New Jersey-based organizations to make the list.
 
Jefferson Health’s three New Jersey hospitals have been awarded the 2019 Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence AwardTM. This distinction places Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital, Jefferson Stratford Hospital, and Jefferson Washington Township Hospital among the top 5 percent of all short-term acute care hospitals reporting patient safety data, as evaluated by Healthgrades, the leading online resource for information about physicians and hospitals.
 
The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers announced the election of two new members to its board: Melissa Bushnell of AtlantiCare and Sheila McAteer of Virtua.
 
The first Inspira Health Grand Gala was held at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, and Inspira Health President and CEO John DiAngelo announced the Inspira Foundations have reached their $20 million capital campaign goal.
