David Porsolt has joined Wohlsen Construction Company as a project executive.

Ken Richardson has joined Vantage RES as a sales associate.

Joseph Dempsey has been appointed executive vice president, head of commercial banking for Columbia Bank. Dempsey will be responsible for the bank’s commercial lending functions, including C&I, SBA, middle market lending, commercial real estate and construction financing, as well as the bank’s business development division.

WithumSmith+Brown, PC has named Adam Levithan as principal and product manager of its OneWindow Workplace turnkey digital workplace for Office 365.

Allyson Schlesinger has been appointed executive vice president, head of consumer banking for Columbia Bank. Schlesinger was previously with Citigroup, Inc. for 25 years, most recently as its managing director, U.S. retail and division manager for Citi’s New York City and New Jersey markets.

and Ryan Kastner have been promoted to vice presidents, consulting at Innovative Benefit Planning.

The Mercadien Group announced the following promotions: Digesh Patel, CPA, MBA, RMA, CGMA, PSA, a director in the government services group, has been promoted to managing director of The Mercadien Group and principal in Mercadien, P.C., CPAs. Lovepreet Buttar, CPA, MBA, CGMA, PSA, a manager in the nonprofit and human services group, has been promoted to the level of director; and two associates were promoted to managers from supervisor levels: Matthew Fins, CRCM, CAMS, a member of the financial institutions services group and Matthew Smierciak, CPA, a member of the compliance oversight services group.

Archer Law has named five new associates: Najah A. Jacobs is a member of the environmental law practice group and specializes in complex environmental litigation, products liability claims and toxic torts. Kenneth Ling is a member of the real estate and business counseling practice groups, and represents a wide range of clients in corporate, business and real estate matters. Jennifer N. McCracken is a member of the real estate tax appeal group and specializes in the litigation of complex commercial and industrial property tax appeals. Anthony Paolini III is a member of the family law and matrimonial practice group, where he focuses his practice in all aspects of family law, including divorce, adoption, parental rights, custody, support and domestic violence. Reginald L. Streater is a member of the business litigation group and focuses his practice on commercial and complex litigation.

Jeffrey Resnick, Esq. has been installed as president of the Katz JCC, Cherry Hill.

#TechStarters presented its annual Community Service Award for 2018 to Amy Maricondi. A donation in her name was made to Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice.

Cipriani Remodeling Solutions has been named to the Top 500 List of America’s Largest Remodelers by Qualified Remodeler Magazine.

The installation of Dr. Michael A. Cioce as the sixth president of Rowan College at Burlington County took place on Sept. 14. Cioce had been serving as acting president and vice president of enrollment management and student success since fall 2017.

Robert Palumbo, director of the New Jersey Small Business Development Center at Rutgers University–Camden, has received the State Star Award from America’s SBDC. Each of the 50 state SBDC networks nominates their staff members who have made outstanding contributions in assisting entrepreneurs and small businesses, promoting greater opportunities for growth, and advancing the state and national Small Business Development Centers program.

Columbia Bank
was named a “Best Practices” award winner by the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey. Columbia was cited for its volunteer work, specifically its “Team Columbia” concept which encourages employees to volunteer their time to assist community members and charitable organizations in making a difference in people’s lives.

Jennifer Laver, a partner in Weber Gallagher’s Mount Laurel office, was recently inducted to the Leadership Council of Impact100’s South Jersey chapter—an organization that empowers women to transform communities around the world.

Inspira Medical Center Elmer’s Emergency Department received the prestigious Lantern Award. The Lantern Award is presented by the Emergency Nurses Association and is earned by emergency departments that exemplify exceptional and innovative performance in the core areas of leadership, practice, education, advocacy and research. They are one of 19 recipients nationwide to receive this award.
 
First Bank has expanded to Burlington County, opening new branches in Cinnaminson and Delanco.
 
South Jersey Federal Credit Union (SJFCU) has partnered with the Cooper Foundation to raise money to #SWEEPOUTCANCER. During #PINKOUT, employees are encouraged to wear pink every Friday during the month of October in support of breast cancer awareness and SJFCU members can donate money at any branch, with the proceeds going to the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
 
HFM Investment Advisors, LLC, has expanded its annual Gloucester County Coat Drive to support the broader South Jersey region, including Cumberland and Salem counties, and runs through January 31, 2019. HFM has collected and donated more than 15,200 coats to South Jersey residents in need over the past eight years, and plans to top that record and surpass over 18,000 total coats collected. Drop-off sites include HFM’s Glassboro office, all local Gloucester County Library System branches, the Margaret E. Heggan Public Library in Washington Township and 30 additional locations which can be found at HFMAdvisors.com/Our-Commitment.
